Jay Goldman was invited by The USA Freedom Corps and the United Nations to speak at an event held at The White House in Washington, DC.  The event was Wednesday December 5th which was International Volunteer Day.

Jay spoke to a crowd of high ranking officials from Washington as well as many leaders from the largest volunteer organizations in the country, including The Peace Corps. The event was sponsored by the U.S. Senate in conjunction with congress to raise support for Senate Bill 1464 and House Bill 3698 – The Global Service Fellowship Act.

The passing of this bill by Congress will help bring aid to some of the worlds most poverty and disease stricken areas. This will be done by the U.S pledging 10,000 additional international volunteers yearly.  This is an amazing opportunity to help bring aid outside our borders and make a difference on a global scale. Jay was asked to deliver a speech on his international volunteer experience to help get the bill passed.

Jay Said, "I am very excited about this opportunity. I hope that we can make some serious steps towards bringing not only much needed aid but also hope and joy to millions around the globe"
